Georges Grinstein, PhD Dr. Grinstein is Director of the Institute for Visualization and Perception Research and Professor of Computer Science at UML. Grinstein explores the visual representation of data as a tool for analysis. In this presentation, Grinstein provides some background in visualization and data analysis, including specific techniques that are used in quantitative data exploration. He demonstrates how these can be put to work in qualitative research, with the capacity to represent fuzzy data (data that do not have unique values) and relational data (data that are based on associations).
