TSONGAS COLLECTION
 
     Paul E. Tsongas, born in Lowell Massachusetts, was elected to the House of
Representatives in 1974 and to the Senate in 1978.  He left the Senate in 1983 and donated his Congressional Papers to the University.  In 1991, he ran for President of 
the United States and his Presidential Campaign Papers were donated in 1998.  On 
January 28, 1997, eulogies by friends and family were published in the Congressional 
Record
