| The following index was compiled from information
contained in local newspapers. Attempts were made to verify the spelling
of certain names, but in some cases this was not possible, so these names
were copied as printed.
The "Report of Birth" column was published weekly, usually on Saturday but occasionally on Monday. In addition to the names of parents, date of birth of the child and the sex of the child, it also listed the parent's address. If it is necessary for you to see the actual "Report of Birth" on microfilm, you should check more than one week's report to find it, as births were not always reported in a timely fashion.
