UMass Lowell Libraries has added the AES (Audio Engineering Society) E-Library as an annual subscription online database available to all faculty, students, and staff. Access is offered from both on campus and remotely. Links to the database can be found on the library’s website Music databases page or in the alphabet menu on the website home page.
The AES (Audio Engineering Society) E-Library contains over 13,000 fully searchable PDF files documenting the progression of audio research from 1953 to the present day. The E-library includes every AES paper published at a convention, conference or in the peer-reviewed AES Journal. The E-Library also contains Standards Documents, Technical Documents, and Anthologies and Collections.
The Audio Engineering Society is the only professional society devoted exclusively to audio technology. Founded in the United States in 1948, the AES has grown to become an international organization that unites audio engineers, creative artists, scientists and students worldwide by promoting advances in audio and disseminating new knowledge and research.
Many research papers presented at conventions are ultimately published in the peer-reviewed Journal of the Audio Engineering Society. Other convention papers and conference proceedings are compiled in the online AES E-Library.
