Trial for the ICE Virtual Library until June 8, 2010

UML Libraries is offering a full-text trial to journals within the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Virtual Library.  You can access the trial through the Trial page on the library’s web site.  Access is available from April 8 to June 8, 2010.

The ICE archives include many of the seminal papers in civil engineering, bringing together
content from across the ICE publications program. Included in the trial is full access to  the Proceedings of  the Institution of Civil Engineers, the longest established series in civil engineering, published continuously since 1836 under a variety of names. Also included are the Géotechnique archives, published since 1948, and the Magazine of Concrete Research, in publication since 1976.

Ebooks are not accessible in this trial, but the trial does allow open access to the first chapters of almost all 350 ebooks. ICE journals and ebooks span a wide range of subjects, from Energy, Water, and Sustainability, to Management, Materials Science, Structures, and more.

Please leave comments. They assist greatly in the library’s decision-making process.
