The new IEEE Xplore interface represents the most significant upgrade of the IEEE Xplore digital library since 2005. Designed to make searching for and finding relevant research easier and faster, the new interface includes several important customer-requested enhancements.

The new interface presents a clean, simple and more efficient design. A prominent browse tab and search box on every page provides quick access to valuable research.

Faceted search results and a new search engine greatly improve functionality and make finding the right information even easier. A drop-down list of search term alternative options helps in choosing more accurate keywords. After your search results return, the a group of “Refine/Expand Results” options lets you modify your search by multiple facets. You can also search within your results.

Several personalization options for guests, members and users at subscribing institutions allow you to set search preferences using multiple criteria. Create up to 15 personalized saved searches with the option to receive e-mail alerts or RSS feeds when new relevant content is uploaded. Users can sign up for personal accounts to take advantage of the many other options.

The browse button is featured throughout IEEE Xplore and a new browse page now lets users browse by Content Type, Title or Subject. With Subject browsing, you’ll get to see popular technology topics and related content.
